One of my favorite looks with their dyes before the magenta look. I'Ve worked with them before i actually created. This video is in partnership with splat once more um. So, let's do it! Yes, i have a ton of dies here actually so excited, because i get to try new products, and that is always so much fun for me, yeah. That is something i've never done in my life before i've never done a ski diaper. I am excited for it, but i also haven't done one of these types of processes in a in a while today, i'm dying half my hair, pink and half my hair violet. First of all, it's going to be a hell of a long process. I don't know how prepared i am for this video. I am breaking my own kind of legacy and today i'm doing a split die. So if i myself don't try them, i am useless. I want to be the person that encourages you guys to try the new thing. With what i create, i realize that it is absolutely not the kind of person that i want to be. But i've come to the realization that i'm losing my edge getting kind of safe. Genuinely it is um something i've never tried before something that i didn't think i would ever try before. Let'S go today, we're doing something weird to our hair. What am i doing sitting here? I have so much to do. Have any suggestions? Leave them down below! Half pink, half purple look that is now, iconic. I left the bleach on for 20 minutes and the dye for 30 - the final result being a beautifully vibrant, It came included with bleach, developer, dyes and gloves so it was as convenient as could be I would not be much of a creator if I said no to things before trying them. so you but the rubber bands about 2/3 of the way you want bleach to go, apply bleach under the band, and then remove the band and blend the bleach up a bit.I swore I would never do split dye because it looks weird and it hard to style blah blah, but its also possible to use little plastic hair bands to keep the bleach at the same approximate level all around your head. If you have hair hair i would apply bleach the same way (minus the conditioner step). i did this on some of my bottom chunks and thy are fun to look at lol and these dyes blend into each other well. If you have longer hair/ dye more you can have single chunks that go from like pink->purple->natural. it's lightweight so it will just hang there and contain the dye. (make sure all of the conditioner is off of your brush before using it on the next chunk if using only one per color)ĥ)fold the tinfoil up around the hair. I also used the brush to make sure the top line of the color was not straight across.

Then, i got some conditioner on my brush, and used it to dilute the color and blend it up to transition. each chunk got 1-2 colors.Ĥ)For a single chunk, I used a paintbrush to paint on dye about 3/4ths of the way i wanted the color to go.

I can't believe people are interested I should have taken a couple of pictures! but heres my basic method:ġ)cut tons of tinfoil squares (about 4" for me, but depends on how long your hair is/how much you are dying), and gather paint brushes (2 per color if you have them, but 1 per color needed) and conditioner.Ģ)I sectioned my hair like im curling it, so i basically did the bottom 1/3, the middle 1/3, and then the top layers.ģ) i separated each of these layers into chunks and layed them against a piece of tin foil.
